2006 Grass Drags Rules

Jamie Hogg Machine

General

    • Tethers required on all machines (except Minis and Vintage)
    • Limiter straps allowed in all classes
    • All classes require 2 inches of remaining compression travel with the driver in place
    • Cleated tracks are not allowed; except in Vintage – must be an OEM cleated track
    • All picked tracks in Improved Stock, Pro Stock and Modified require tunnel enclosure
    • Drivers require appropriate footwear (no sandals) and full-length pants
    • Must have snow flap
    • Cleaning out or spinning of tracks only allowed on stand with backboard
    • Must have hoops on ski tips

    • A scale will be present at these races –
      • In Trail Stock and Stock -  Driver and gear weight must be 200lbs including fuel.  For example, if you have a dry weight machine of 470 lbs, it has to tip the scales at 690 lbs.

      • Please note that if you are a light rider and will have trouble making the 200lbs – you need to bring fuel, or weights that can be secured on to the sled to make up the additional weight.  If more than one racer is using the same sled and there is considerable difference in weight, you need to make sure the sled is 200 lbs over dry weight, even with the lightest rider on it
      • In Trail Stock Improved and Stock Improved the sleds and drivers combined weights must be as follows:
        • 600cc – 700 lbs (3 cylinder) or 625 lbs (2 cylinder)
        • 700cc – 750 lbs (3 cylinder) or 675 lbs (2 cylinder)
        • 800cc  and 1000 cc – 775 lbs (3 cylinder) or 685 lbs (2 cylinder)

      • Pro Stock, Open Modified and Heavy Modified will run by ISR guidelines

    • Scale will be used in all classes except Womens, Junior, Junior Novice, Mini Sled, Stock Mountain, Modified Mountain, and Vintage

    • Drivers in all classes, except Mini, Junior and Junior Novice must be 16 years old or older
      • If there are any questions about rules not stated here – refer to International Snowmobile Racing (ISR) rules.
